The Choteau Sheep Expo is a B. ovis
free sale.
All sheep are vet inspected prior to
the sale. Only healthy, sound sheep may sell.
Sheep
may be viewed the day before the sale.
All sheep
sell via a "blue slip" bid. Simply obtain a blue slip from the secretary's sale desk, write down on the
slip, the Lot Number of the animal you are interested in purchasing & your name and address and turn the blue
slip back into the secretary prior to noon. Shortly after noon, all blue slips will be opened. If there is only
one blue slip turned in on a certain animal, then the person who turned in that blue slip gets that animal for the suggested
price (see price list...available sale day). If more than one blue slip is turned in on any animal, then those buyers
who turned in blue slips on the same animal, go into a bid off on that animal. High bid purchases that animal.
Winning bidder makes a check out to the consignor of said animal and turns it in to the secretary. Secretary will issue
a receipt. Receipts need to shown to consignor or consignor's agent, before loading any animal
out of the barn.
