We have been consigning to the Choteau Sheep Expo for 15 years this year.  We will be bringing a quality consignment of Montana bred Suffolks to the 2010 sale.  Bred to perform in a variety of management systems, our Suffolks have longevity, meat and muscle and are productive.

We invite you to the 26th Annual Sale on September 11, 2010.  For more information regarding our Choteau sale entries, check back here for updated information or visit us on the world wide web at www.prairierosesuffolks.com

Supreme Champion Ram 2010 Tri Co (as a lamb)

Half brothers to this February born ram lamb will sell at the 2010 Choteau Expo.  Pictured here nearly slick shorn, this fellow exhibits natural thickness & muscling, exceptional length, excellent testicular circumference and a big hip and leg.

Bringing 4 top ram lambs to the Choteau Sale.   All lambs are slick sheared in June so that we can evaluate quality and performance.  Slick shearing lambs for the summer months also allows lambs to remain cool and put their energy into growth.  We will be offering our sale rams and ewes this year in shorter fleece and many of the ram lambs have been ultra sounded for ribeye measure.

Prairie Rose Ram Lambs

Some of these ram lambs (pictured above) are heading to the Choteau Sheep Expo!   All sale rams will be RR or QR at the Codon 171 site for scrapie resistance.

We are considering adding a couple of ewe lambs to our Choteau consignment.  Please check back often to check the status of our entries.

January Born Ram Lamb

From a high indexing ewe for milk and growth, this January born ram lamb is just the ticket for putting more growth into your lamb crop.  You get paid for lbs. of lamb at sale time so it makes sense to use a ram that can add growth and gain into your lamb crop.  See this ram lamb at the Choteau Sale on Sept. 11th, 2010!
